RIC is a capital/equity partner in this publishing and bookstore/cafe operation.
Two Dollar Radio was founded by Eric Obenauf and Eliza Wood-Obenauf in 2005 with the mission to reaffirm the cultural and artistic spirit of the publishing industry. The publisher does bold works of literary merit, publishing about six books a year, producing films and owning a brick-and-mortar bookstore and vegan cafe called Two Dollar Radio Headquarters.
Two Dollar Radio was honored by GLIBA and MIBA with the “2020 Voice of the Heartland Award” and named “INDIES’s Publisher of the Year” by Foreword for the year of 2020. Two Dollar Radio’s archives are housed at The Ohio State University’s Rare Books & Manuscripts Library. Books published by Two Dollar Radio have been honored by the National Book Foundation, finalists for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, picked as “Editors’ Choice” selections by The New York Times Book Review, and made year-end best-of lists at O, The Oprah Magazine, National Public Radio, Slate, Salon, The Believer, and others.
