On May 15, 2017, the VA Outpatient Clinic in Newark was dedicated as the Daniel L. Kinnard VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic. Kinnard lived in Newark when he enrolled in the Army and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars while in combat. Congressman Pat Tiberi and Senator Rob Portman were instrumental in the renaming process and led the dedication ceremony with Kinnard’s family.
The clinic is located at 1861 W. Main St. in Newark and has undergone a $3 million renovation completed in 2024.
